How to Save Pinterest Videos on Your Phone or Computer

Pinterest videos play inside the app or website, but there is no obvious “save file” button. That is by design — the player streams the video rather than handing you a file. The good news is that most public video pins still point to a downloadable MP4 behind the scenes, and you can reach it with nothing more than the pin's share link.

The short version

1. Open the video pin and use Share → Copy link (or copy the pin.it link).
2. Paste the link into the box at the top of this page and press the arrow.
3. When the preview appears, choose the MP4 quality you want and save it.

The file is streamed through this site so it arrives with a clean, readable filename instead of a long string of CDN characters. Nothing is stored on our server after the transfer finishes.

On a phone

On both Android and iPhone, tap the three-dot or share icon on the pin and choose Copy link. Switch to your browser, paste it here, and tap the quality button — your phone will place the MP4 in its Downloads or Files area. On iPhone, long-pressing the finished file lets you move it straight into Photos.

When only a streaming version exists

A small number of pins are published only as adaptive HLS streams, which are split into many tiny fragments rather than one file. When that happens the tool will tell you plainly rather than hand you a broken download. In most cases a standard MP4 is available and downloads in one tap.

A note on ownership

Save videos for personal, offline viewing and always respect the original creator's rights. If you plan to re-share or reuse a clip, get the creator's permission first.
